I'm excited at the same time anxious for our trip to Palau next week. Ten of us will be diving for 5 days in various dive sites namely German Channel, Blue Corner, Blue Hole, Big drop Off, New Drop Off, Virgin Hole, Pelelieu Cut, Pelelieu Express & Yellow Wall. Aside from diving, we will also swim with the stingless jellyfish at the Jelly fish lake, tour the giant clam city, mud spa at milky way and snorkel with the sharks at shark point.
Before I get too excited with the sharks, a different kind of shark attacked us. Five months before our scheduled trip, we paid $500 for our tickets on Continental Airlines for Koror Palau with Space Travel Ent. http://spacetravelent.com/ In fact, we were asked to pay in full citing that tickets are on promo for a limited time. They gave us an e-ticket confirmation booking online via virtuallythere. However, two weeks before our scheduled departure, our booking can no longer be found. I called the airlines to inquire. Then I found out that the ticket has not been issued since it wasn't paid for by the agent. No wonder the booking number does not appear when I checked through Continental Airline's website. So I called the attention of our group leader. That is when we found out that they deliberately did not purchase our tickets and was kiting our payment and signified intention to purchase the ticket a day before our trip. That is silly, there was intention to defraud us from the very start since the reason they asked for payment was because they will avail of early booking promo. We also found out that we were not the only victims, there is another group of divers victimized and i'm not sure if they can still purchase new tickets since the flight is full.
We are left with no better option but to purchase our own ticket with the hope of recovering the amount with Space Travel Ent. How? I don't know if it's possible with the justice system in the Philippines.
My aunt and her group of friends, around twenty of them had a similar experience two years ago with Adam's Travel and Tours in Cebu. Considering they are a reputable agency, they also gave unconfirmed e-ticket booking numbers. Not until they got to the check-in counters that they were told that their reservation was not paid. They were seated on a another airline at the end of the day. On first class, charged to the agency, but they had to go enroute another country with 8 hours layover.
Save yourself from being a victim of fraud, never book with Space Travel Ent.

there's just way too many victims.
we eventually got our money back but we had to book a much higher fare on our own. our organizer friend got a tip that they got cash at that time so he had to urgently flew to Manila to see them.
our advise to you, just get another ticket; and go after them... not necessarily legally.
never trust hole in the wall agents, no matter how cheap their offer is. this catherine tonog is still an agent. she should be put to jail already

gambit01, we were able to get our money back. our organizer friend had to fly to manila just to get it when he learned that she was able to collect some money. But we had to book another flight with a hefty price tag days before our flight. it's futile to take legal action.

Im also one of her victim... but how can we stop her... im no longer expecting her to return my money... she has been closed since jan 2011... but how i wish we can do something to prevent her getting more victims... or how can we have her feel that what she;s doing is a no joke... seems like she's not taking our complains seriously....

catherine o. tonog is already in jail.paranaque jail the one under the bridge in coastal behind st paul paranaque.since the other day.she's got warrant of arrest kasi.she owes my family 213,000 and my tita 800k plus thousand.i personally saw her yesterday and i hope she stays there in her whole lifetime!i hope other victims would file a complaint too so that her stay would be extended.'coz she can still bail out if somebody helps her.i hope the husband never bail her out.nor the relatives.....

Just to give u an update Catherine Tonog was already transferred to Ilocos, because its where the complainant filed the case. She cannot afford to pay her bail, because it was 2 warrant of arrest which she needs to settle both before she could be released temporarily.
